And to clarify, self promo is ok! My complaint is about the ones who wouldn’t even see this post (or any other post for the matter), much less reply to it. They just take up space and do not give anything of value back. Imo. As the fediverse grows it’s bound to happen, it just pisses me off.
Not inflammatory, but I’ve noticed some new users who come only to do self promotion, without engaging in anyting else in the platform. Mostly in art related comms but also a couple trying to promote a shady website or the like. Even though my account is new I’ve been browsing for a good while and dislike people that are only looking for an audience not a community.
There it is! The holy grail for all my hobbies… space
to drive the 10 hours round trip to snag it
Fucking respect o7.
Are you aware of this guy on youtube? https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCeEf90AEmmxaQs5BUkHqR3Q he creates some very inspired mini electronics.
I’m sorry the trade off for your iron glutes was chronic pain u_u.

We are building something nice here. ;) It’s very welcoming. For most of my online life I’ve been just a lurker, here I feel like my presence needs to add something of value, even if small.

Also on the soulslike community :D
Edited to add some links :
GrantUsEyes@lemmy.zipto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Why is Lemmy so US-centric? The largest instances are in Europe, aren't they? So why does it have to be US news trolling as if it were Reddit?2·8 days agoI made my account so I could block all the “news” /politics , which are mostly US news/politics XD. There is no community for my country here as far as I know, and if there is, and it’s anything like it’s counterpart on reddit, then also no thanks.
GrantUsEyes@lemmy.zipto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What are signs that you may be more attractive than you think you are?2·9 days agoYeah, in some scenarioss you kinda have default authorithy and people like to assign leadership roles to you. For me, I’m aware height + my personality also makes me scary and unapproachable. Its a strange combitation.
Yesterday I watched it and “your idol” hasn’t stop playing in my head. I’m not into kpop at all, but like to keep up with some of the popular animated movies. And it blew my mind how masterfully crafted the climax was. The choreo, the lyrics, the camera… Even the sex appeal. a total banger! The movie overall is ok, but that villain song has some strong staying power.
I still use one I bought in 2007.
Lemmy by a light year. I feel that I’m actually talking to real people here, and there’s no algorithm, no tracking, no corpo influence.
