I really like VR gaming. If only they would develop better FOV to get rid of some “porthole effect” and drop in some screens that don’t have the screen-door resolution. I played Elite:Dangerous for years on VR and it’s totally worth it. If only there were a way to get first-person shooters working better it might take off.

This is a terrible stat. Taking the people who are entering the workforce and averaging them with people who have spent a lifetime working. Not only that, but that’s just “retirement” savings. How many 20 year olds have retirement accounts?
The information would be far more realistic if it were grouped by decade of life.
Edit: Here. This is a little better

“Talibangelicals” and “Y’all Qaeda” has never been more appropriate.

They’ll cave on whatever it is before it comes to a national strike.

Why do we need to tell them not to do what they’re not supposed to do?
IOW we’ve already stolen everything we think is of value and want to pull up the ladder on any competitors.

Because of the typical incomplete and cherrypicked argument they cite that people get sick and die from pasteurized milk anyway.
While it’s completely true that people do get sick from outbreaks in pasteurized milk over time, there is no perfect system, the millions and millions of people who consume pasteurized dairy vs the thousands that dare to drink unpasteurized milk per capita objectively and obviously wildly points out that pasteurized is ridiculous orders of magnitude safer than raw milk.
But in typical willfully ignorant fashion, they ignore the science and dive into some nebulous and BS health benefits of raw milk while ignoring the game of death roulette they play.

Oh great, some wildly overpriced and underperforming GPUs.
Edit: went looking at Intel’s desktop GPUs and found this gem:
Powerful AI Engines
Unlock new AI experiences with up to 233 TOPS of AI engine performance for content creation, real-time AI chat, editing, and upscaled gaming.3
And checked out the specs for performance of Intel’s top cards (B580/A770) against a basic 3080 card (no OC/TI, whatever) and the intel cards ranked well below the older 3080, and weren’t even in the ballpark against upper tier 4- and 5- series Nvidia cards. Plus missing features like DLSS, etc.
Good enough for non-FPS dependent gaming? Sure. Can’t beat the price, I was wrong about that. Want to play high-FPS demanding twitch gaming? No.

Not anxious enough to actually force changes, though.

And compare that to the rise of right wing ownership of media.

The richest man on Earth will absolutely get a bailout on our dime and not spend a cent of his net worth.

Absolutely. And if the AI market takes a hit it will barely affect a government contracted space program that will get a taxpayer funded bailout if it has any trouble at all.

“Republicans” should.
Not the States, not bipartisan whatever…just them. That tells you everything.

Yes. The Tulsa race massacre for instance. Not that I’m comparing the current state of politics to longstanding racism, only that once you are sufficiently demonized by conservatives they have no problem killing you. And you can find similar events big and small throughout American history.

Why would they have to be unexpected? Want a list to see if something surprises ypu?
I don’t know what people would need a Pi 5 16gb for other than using it as a low-powered PC alternative. I’ve got a bunch of 4’s and 3’s doing utilitarian tasks, from running an older 3D printer to PiHole. One I’m using as a budget PC in the garage to listen to music and look up how-to videos if I get stumped on something.
A $200+ 5 seems outside the needs of the users who have viewed Pi’s as relatively inexpensive hobbyist devices, but below the needs of people needing to do the work of desktop PCs.
I’m sure there’s niche uses for them, but is there actual demand for them?
