確實，用「弱勢群體」會比較好聽，因為「群體」一詞還沒有遭受汙染。「族」字通常用來表示外加分類，[來源請求]所以複詞褒貶全依 [X] 決定，如「草莓*族」一詞就十分刺耳。不過，通勤族、開車族、家族等詞就沒有負面意涵。
