4 days agoYouTube doesn’t/can’t take a cut from sponsorships. which is the point they were making. That’s where the money actually gets made. That or Patreon / streams.

It’s always been kind of interesting to me how regional the brand of these you’re familiar with is. Like here it’s always been Flavor-Ice, but I see Otter Pops like those mentioned a lot.
He would keep it classy like that.

You ignore it and keep playing the set. Unless it is somewhere that you’re behind chicken wire and need to dodge shards of bottles.
As a life long guitarist that has played some larger venues in the past… I feel this in my soul.

Someone knowledgeable enough would be able to figure out where every upload is going, I’d wager. But that would take Someone that is knowledgeable enough, as well as willing to expose an app like that given the potential consequences.
I tend to agree, and am basically a hermit, only going out when I have to for food etc. However, I’ve been looking for somewhere to post this (and sorry of this is a bummer. So CW near death.
My smart watch save my life on Wednesday.
I was working on shoveling out a sort of trench to stimey some flooding from the intense amount of rain we’ve been getting - hoping to give the water somewhere to go. I apparently disturbed a “early” nest of yellow-legged hornets which ate invasive here. I was stung. No biggie. I’ve been stung hundreds of times in my 42 years, but not by these. I went into the kitchen, to wash the sting and put a poultice on it, the normal routine. I woke up in a haze with EMTs over me. I hear my dog going absolutely berserk outside. Luckily the firefighters managed to get him safely chained outside with no harm to anyone. My smart watch detected the hard fall and wonky heart rate and initiated a 911 call. I was apparently out cold barely breathing for around at least 15 minutes as they had to deal with my 150 lb dog (who was doing his job). 2 days in hospital later I am OK, and thankfully my dog had a good amount of water outside. My whole point here is that living with others has some great benefits, like emergency situations. I am beginning to reconsider things, but I am unsure of the conclusion I will come to.

3·19 days agoThe only ban from SDF I’ve seen was incredibly well deserved, and I badgered the poor admin probably way too much to get it to happen.
Something about the lighting in this still makes them look like wax figures.
