The Snakeellian diplomat greeted the Captain with a solemn but kind face. Despite their opposing objectives, both sides knew an alience must be formed or both parties would be destroyed. “Please, have a seat,” he said, gesturing to a horizontal spike poking through a ring held together with a thin vertical pole

He thinks his strategies just haven’t been able to keep up, but thinks things will get better again

Is it a static page (meaning just serving up some html and associated images?) If so, Docker will be a waste of time.
lefaucet@slrpnk.netto News@lemmy.world•They voted for Trump and now their son is in ICE detention11·2 months agoI sometimes wonder if folks have a main character complex.
Like in movies when everyone dies but the main character. Most of us see ourselves as that person, not the multitudes that were blind-sided by the meteor
People think they have plot armor.

The possibility of me ordering a Tesla would require so much leadership refactoring at Tesla, I’m confident this is no longer a possibility.
To put it more sussinctly:
Fuck off with this bullshit ad headline. I wouldn’t touch these swasticars if they jerked me off nightly

Like 90% of downtime would be because the license server was down because of a security update and IT was trying to troubleshoot with Autodesk or a user forgot their Adobe password… Not because of anything actually breaking.

Pretty much only folks who are new at buiding computers and don’t adequately cool their NVMEs experience this.
Either way it shows what a clown show this is. I’m pretty sure they’re doing some babuki theatre to distract us and then if the scheme being done here is found, they’ll point fingers at the dipshit kid and he’ll be punished for whatever the con is.
Either way the billionaires will be better off for it, barring judicial, congressional, or military revolt; which is looking less likely by the day.
Bunch of traitors forgot their oath is to the constitution. The constitution IS the soul of the country and is to be respected. The country was founded by the constitution and it defines the system to be decentralized power giving control to the populace through three different branches of government. Not some false idol king or an evil oligarchy propped up by foreign and domestic robber barrons

In my competitive industry I often have to install half baked software often written without security in mind and written by folks from all over the world that I’ve never met
Nothing gives white knuckles like piping a curl output to bash because your boss says to try out a program their friend found and you don’t have time to audit anything.
Though your point still holds. If you are careful you can do this with relative safety in Linux. Windows makes it harder tho
My antivirus for Linux is a policy of not executing things as root and installing things via safe channels when possible.
If I’m setting up a server or other untrusted service, I create a user specifically for it that has very limited permissions.
This makes it so that when something is compromised it is still trapped in a box and can’t spread.
