I tend to think it should be the former. As a Canadian, we have a federal election coming up and it sucks that there is no (relevant) political party that shares my opinion.

The most recent Intel Core 2 Duo was discontinued in 2008. I doubt Intel would be able to convince anyone that this is a competing product or would cause any customer confusion. No one is going to be looking for a low end processor from over a decade ago and accidentally buy a watch.

One of the things I find ridiculous about other smart watches is that they use proprietary bands. When I found out that people are paying $60+ for a silicon band for an Apple watch, it blew my mind. Also that people put screen protectors or cases on their Apple watches because their $500+ watch doesn’t even have a crystal lens, and is prone to scratching.

Still way more dangerous than just not chasing. A traffic violation is not worth putting the lives of any bystanders at risk.

This got me thinking about how long have we been putting chlorine in pools. This random website says that it was “first suggested” in 1894 (without any citation, so take that with a salt water pool’s worth of salt).

So shells filled with chlorine gas would not smell like a swimming pool during the US Civil War. Because a swimming pool probably smelled like stagnant water and piss.

2 disks in the same machine is not a backup whether the data is copied between them using RAID or rsync or anything else.

Sounds like for this machine, just use the two disks in RAID1, or a ZFS mirror, or something. And figure out something else for backups. Probably a cloud solution.

Also, RAID2 requires a minimum of 3 disks, and is rarely used.

It is just KDE though. Its just a plasma skin. But what you get by installing Wubuntu instead of a proper distro, and then applying a skin, is supporting a developer with a history of bad security practices and poor behavior. Not to mention the potential copyright issues. This whole project will probably die when Microsoft realises that someone is using their name and trademarks to sell a competing project.
