For some reason, the voice of Dr. Doofenshmirtz was much clearer in my head than the borg.

I think you two just said the same thing.

The media (Blu-ray, dvd, whatever…) didn’t matter so much. Adding depth fields to existing media works, but it isn’t exactly perfect. The tech should be much better now, but it took a fuck ton of manual labor to convert films to be compatible with 3D. Back when 3D TVs were being pushed, studios had to film movies in 3D as well, which took more time and more equipment.
Here is an old pic I took during the conversion of Titanic into 3D since it wasn’t filmed in 3D from the start. Each frame needed to have depth fields mapped, by hand, in a room filled with jr level staff. This work was split across multiple studios.

They still probably need a ton of customization and tuning at the driver level and beyond, which open source allows for.
I am sure there is plenty of existing “super computer”-grade software in the wild already, but a majority of it probably needs quite a bit of hacking to get running smoothly on newer hardware configurations.
As a matter of speculation, the engineers and scientists that build these things are probably hyper-picky about how some processes execute and need extreme flexibility.
So, I would say it’s a combination of factors that make Linux a good choice.

Booze.
I have huge chunks of memories missing and that ain’t exactly a bad thing for my older, and sober, self. (Sometimes I still get flashbacks of blurry memories and it is very anxiety inducing. Booze memories are weird and were written to some corrupt cells or something that only pop back up under strange conditions.)

Can you play Doom on it?

Those logs are going to get slurped by another AI, of course.
That’ll be great in the case of my chats where I mainly use ChatGPT for security research and I trigger all kinds of LLM recursion issues and sanitization bypasses.
They can have at it with my logs and they can go fuck themselves at the same time.

Punctuation can change context and/or grammar, but I’ll meet you in the middle on that one. I’ll also just keep telling myself that it was an intentional mistake by the editors to trigger real grammar nazis.

which is it’s
And bad grammar too. Tsk, tsk.
Press stunt to get attention on older cards, maybe?
Vyvanse wasn’t a pleasant experience for me. It felt like it crushed all of my dopamine receptors and life got really boring, really quick. (Obviously, this isn’t everyone’s experience, but it was mine.) It took a few weeks for my brain to recover.
I didn’t try switching because I wanted to (adderall works just fine for me), it’s because the adderall supply was low in my area for a bit and I wanted it find an alternative.

Do a look-through of that XML folder as well. Images could be base64 encoded in those XML files. I remember several instances where XML was used as a template “language” for old style GUIs. (When XML and HTML diverged, a lot of that kind of thing was happening.)

There are some kind of instructions in this video that go through a logo change process. I don’t know if this helps, but I tried: https://youtu.be/QrobPTgu7C0
Also, does it use some kind of database? The images seem like they would be small enough to jam into a blob and just store alongside regular inventory information. If there is a database, it’s probably third-party. If it’s third-party, I would see if it had its own installer packaged inside of the application installer itself. (A third party database would likely be outside of the main app folder.)
Just dumping random thoughts.

Thank you for tolerating my drive to dump out mostly irrelevant information.

Cork will work fine for your floor, but if you ever put it on a table for whatever reason, rubber would be better. I personally wouldn’t recommend putting a sub on a table, but whatever. (If you have decent monitor speakers on a desk, ideally you should isolate them with some foam.) A resonating a desk sucks ass so I use stands for my monitors.
For extra shimmer, you could just ignore me and just put a beer can that contains one marble on top of the sub. I am sure that would sound great.

These findings suggest LLMs can internalize human-like cognitive biases and decision-making mechanisms beyond simply mimicking training data patterns
lulzwut? LLMs aren’t internalizing jack shit. If they exhibit a bias, it’s because of how they were trained. A quick theory would be that the interwebs is packed to the brim with stories of “all in” behaviors intermixed with real strategy, fiction or otherwise. I speculate that there are more stories available in forums of people winning doing stupid shit then there are of people losing because of stupid shit.
They exhibit human bias because they were trained on human data. If I told the LLM to only make strict probability based decisions favoring safety (and it didn’t “forget” context and ignored any kind of “reasoning”), the odds might be in its favor.
Sorry, I will not read the study because of that one sentence in its summary.

Observe while participating is what I meant. The intent is to give a person a heads up that cliques still exist on Lemmy and it may take a bit to understand them. In my case, I found the first instance I wouldn’t participate on when I was classified as a fascist baby killer for some reason. (Some instances hadn’t been mostly defederated back then.)
Except for their search engine. It’s completely unusable.
