it feels too slick businessman now. but it always looks a bit weird directly after a cut and better in a few days

    Not bad for doing it yourself. My hairdresser usually uses a trimmer to clean up around the ears etc.

      Indeed. Paying attention to details and trimming up around the ears, temples, back of the neck, etc. are the secret ingredients that make the difference between people asking “did you cut your own hair?” versus “did you get a haircut?”

      Don’t sweat too much if you have to practice on it. You’ll get the hang of it eventually!

      Yeah I’d go over those sides with a pair of scissors and trim off around my ear. Takes a few seconds but tidies it up so much nicer.

    Every single time I get a haircut, ever. “I hate it, I look stupid”. But that goes after a day or two.

    Yours looks fine? Maybe a tad less hair product if you think it looks too greasy salesman? But I didn’t get that feeling - if it was slicked completely back I would agree.
