I’d like to recommend OpenWrt for anyone running a TP-Link device with stock firmware. I was considering getting a new router, but ended up flashing OpenWrt on mine. It also allows me to use iptables to redirect sneaky, hardcoded DNS requests to my Pi-hole. I can’t recommend it enough, for anyone privacy or security wary.
Openwrt can do all the pi hole stuff on beefy routers
Thats really good to know! Personally, I just like to keep my Wireguard server and Pi-hole on a separate device. Its easier for me to troubleshoot and upgrade. I’m also unsure if my old router has the power to run extra services. I just use it for routing. 🙃

His statement read like a generic one, so it likely includes all US user data (e.g., configs for their smart switches, videos from their cameras, support cases/interactions, and all sorts of other non-router related stuff).
