This really depends on where you live. All broadnands are micro monopolies. I wish we’d pull a EU and split infrastructure and service. We’d get better speeds and prices everywhere

Dude was the owner and gave me a full run down. He even told me about the time he got a free rental for a crown 3D printer to have on site. It was stupid expensive but it was free to use for a few months. Then pay to keep it. Get crowns in hours instead of days. He returned it because labs do much better work.
Yep. Wrench time vs bench time was my thing. If you do 16 in a 8 hour shift that’s 30 min a piece even if they take a few hours with diag, imaging, installs and updates.
Once you get good you just doom scroll while you wait.
I don’t mean time on the bench. I mean tech time working on it.
Hook it up. Start diag. Poke a different system.
Diag done? Passed? Start imaging with post kickstart or Ansible script. Work on a different box.
Image done? Check drivers, updates and functionality checklist.
If you had to do 100 of these you can get pretty good at it.

Taking donated PCs to save them from e-waste. Hooking it up to a large KVM and running hardware diags then a image script to load OS, software and quick check for drivers and functionality…
Maybe 15-30 min labor if you’re efficient and doing them in bulk.

I used to do this kind of work. With a wall of monitors mounted and PCs below. It was pretty chill and just needed to poke one when needed.
I was also confused and realized toddlers were using the straps to get into the pool when it should be designed to prevent that on ladder removal.
This is a design flaw and got rightfully recalled. Toddlers are little drunken suicide machines. Even during a family gathering they’ll run away going from 0-100 in no time flat. Hide around the corner and climb into the pool because they climb everything.

Absolutely. I told my BIL about it. Good thing he didn’t use it before it leaked and have it pop on him. He’s got kids too and I don’t.
I could see him using it for filling bicycle tires for the kids while they’re standing waiting for it.
