4·3 months agoIt’s really bad out here. I’ve applied to over 200 jobs in the past month while working full time (and usually over time) and I’ve heard back from exactly 0 places.
Wtf is even happening anymore, idk. The market for freshers is pretty much dead
I’m not from the US, but even in the third world, infosec jobs are not looking good.
The pay is completely shit, I wouldn’t even be able to cover expenses if I wasn’t living with my parents to save on rent. Every job I apply to, I get automated rejections. Every job that reaches out to me, wants to pay me the US equivalent of 25k USD a year for WFO 5 days a week with some considering going 6.
Not to mention the labour laws here are non existent.
The irony is that cyber crime is on the rise everywhere. There hasn’t been any good news coming from this domain in the past year, and somehow, the executives in their eternal wisdom have decided to make infosec a secondary priority after AI
When will this bullshit implode GOD please I want to see the US collapse in my life time

Having worked extensively on MS Suite, everything from excel to Power apps, I hope the company crashes and burns (without even accounting for the fact that it’s a capitalist construction straight from hell)
