I worked as a baker for a while years ago. The guy who trained me made that part of the training and I thought he was kind of weird for it. Like it was written into his schedule that he gave me for time frames. “4:45 take Sourdough out of oven, 5:00 Take bagels out of oven, 5:15 admire your work”. I thought it was silly at first but it really does help you to appreciate the effort you put in.

There were some great free games back then that came in cereal or some other give away. Chex Quest, Toy Story, Bionicle, Back Yard Baseball, Spot (7up), Roller Coaster Tycoon, and a bunch of just board game remakes. A big chunk of my childhood gaming was on free games now that im thinking about it.

My neighbor growing up had chickens and would bring us eggs all the time. One day, I was making boiled eggs with them and a couple of them were partially developed. I was around 12 at the time and I don’t think I ate eggs again till I lived on my own years later.

I was at a gas station one day, pumping my gas like normal when this lady came up to me. She was from New Jersey and visiting my state and had no idea how to pump her own gas. New Jersey doesn’t allow you to pump your own gas BTW. I talked her through it and she seemed genuinely freaked out by the whole experience, like she was afraid her car would just burst into flames as she pumped. She was an older lady too (maybe 50-60), but i guess she never traveled alone before and just hadn’t had to do it for herself. Nice lady though, she gave me 5 bucks for helping her out.

It would be trivial with the right harmonic frequency. A device anchored into the fault line could send pulses of ULF sound waves into the fault until it starts to resonate. Once that happens all you need to do is up the amplitude a bit and bobs your uncle, earthquakes on demand.

I had a cat that would get in the litter box, do her little ritual of scratching and pawing like most cats do. Then she would stick her but over the edge and squeeze one out on the floor next to her box. She would pee in the litter box but refused to poop in it. We tried all kinds of different box sizes and shapes, and nothing worked. We ended up just laying newspaper under the box for years. Goofy goober. Cat tax -

Arent most/all rodents omnivorous? They might prefer to eat only grains or what not, but if pushed to starvation will readily eat meat to survive?

Edit- Seems I missed what’s remarkable about this, is they are actively hunting the Voles, not just being opportunistic.

Gears like this are one of my minor pet peeve in media. I know this was AI but even humans get it wrong a lot.

There was this guy in my class who was the class clown. One day in chemistry, he took a few lead weights from a scale and stuck it on a hot plate. Once he had a nice puddle of lead, he broke open a thermometer and poured in some mercury. He sat there playing with the (fuming) hot mix for a bit before people realized. Class had to be evacuated, and the class clown dude got sent to different school afterwards.

I use a different POS at work but has a similar issue. You can swipe down from the top of the screen just like a phone to see notifications but the swipe down spot is very small and not in the center. For me, its middle left of center. Maybe yours is similar?

I forget the name but there was/is an add on that obfuscates your data by clicking on every ad and searching random things in the background. Im sure something similar could be made for this.

Im guilty of this. I dont write out the passwords in plaintext though. Its mostly just a few letters to remind me of which version of my many “master” passwords i used and then asterisks. _{P***W0*******$} kinda thing. I know its bad but I can’t bring myself to trust a password manager.
