And you can continue the fun when they start experimenting with it and inevitably fall into option 1.5 and have the window hanging from one corner.

If it’s only a couple you can add them to a shortcut or pin them on your clipboard.
MicrowavedTea@infosec.pubto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Is it normal that I have this inner conflict of not knowing where I belong?4·2 months agoMaybe you like the US because most media comes from there? If you feel you don’t belong in Germany you can try other cultures too. From there you have access to A LOT of countries just a train trip away. And at some point you could go to the US too to see what it’s really like.

Forces you to sign up using Chrome.English9·3 months agoUsing your Canon ID to login to Canon’s digital camera software and apps will give you access to quick and easy product registration, tailored notifications about firmware, software updates, equipment notifications, new product announcements, and more to help optimize your experience with your Canon equipment.
So, ads? You’d figure the account would provide extra features (that we didn’t need) but this doesn’t even give anything to the user.
MicrowavedTea@infosec.pubto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•what language would be best for me to learn?3·3 months agoWhy these languages specifically? If it’s for different reasons you should pick what’s most important to you. Also, with Spanish and Portuguese, Italian and French should be much easier than the others but don’t you already understand a good part of them?
MicrowavedTea@infosec.pubto Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•Is your sleep schedule actually messed up, or are you just aligned with a different timezone?4·3 months agoWish it worked like that with the lights. I don’t like artificial light so only have some back lights on or none at all most of the time. And will sleep until 1pm with two big windows without blinds in my room.
MicrowavedTea@infosec.pubto Technology@lemmy.world•Despite technology, do you still regularly rely on pen and paper?English1·3 months agoNot really to the point where my handwriting is shit because I haven’t written anything substantial for the past 5(?) years. But paper is still the best for drawing schemas/associations. And normal drawings of course, I carry a small notebook for that.

MicrowavedTea@infosec.pubto Mildly Infuriating@lemmy.world•*Permanently Deleted*English10·3 months agoYou should enable MFA yes. But it’s definitely not reasonable to expect a forced half-assed version of MFA that keeps changing when you DON’T enable MFA. OP should have migrated the account before wiping the phone but this behavior was not caused by them.
MicrowavedTea@infosec.pubto Mildly Infuriating@lemmy.world•*Permanently Deleted*English6·3 months agoApparently they’re called backup codes now. I could swear they used to be called airplane codes (because they’re offline ig). It’s just some randomly generated 8-digit codes.
MicrowavedTea@infosec.pubto Mildly Infuriating@lemmy.world•*Permanently Deleted*English45·3 months agoThe most annoying part is you may get this for a previous phone even if you have registered a new phone. If you really want to avoid Google’s forced MFA the best way is to actually enable MFA and generate some airplane codes. Those can generally be used regardless of what Google asks at the time and you can store them offline or even memorize a couple. Probably not as secure but at least you won’t get locked out.

Do you get to choose it with a budget or they buy whatever cheap, uncomfortable thing was available? I’d much rather use my own equipment if I’m gonna be using it everyday.
MicrowavedTea@infosec.pubto Android@lemmy.world•when did they bring back the "clear all" buttonEnglish2·4 months agoHuh might depend on the specific rom. It’s there on Sony along with pop up and multi window.
MicrowavedTea@infosec.pubto Android@lemmy.world•when did they bring back the "clear all" buttonEnglish2·4 months agoDoes it not also exist on the bottom right in the recents view? This left-most position is the least useful. But I don’t think it ever dissappeared for me.
MicrowavedTea@infosec.pubto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Do you use your blinker in a car?3·4 months agoIt’s worse when you’re a pedestrian. If you swerve towards me and expect me to get out of your way you kinda have to tell me where you’re going. But if you walk a lot you get better at judging intentions by the changing speed of the car and distrasting blinkers.
*then we’ll have code that may or may not be ok and no more senior programmers to check it.
Do you usually use an umbrella when it’s sunny or would you do it just to charge the battery? I know it’s a thing but only very rarely see people do that, probably not enough to have demand for something like this. Backpacks with solar panels exist but I think these are pretty hard to find too.
