As someone who grew up in an era where a common wish for lottery winners and trophy winners was “peace in the Middle East” in regards to Israel and all of its neighbors, the recent escalation in Gaza has given a lot of us an excuse to learn a lot more about the actual history and unforgivable atrocities that have occurred since the early fifties.
