Genuine question, why “non-x” (4th paragraph) CPU ? Is there incompatibility issue with EEC or it’s just because they are kinda high-end CPU ?

My current server is 10 years old. I’m self-hosting since ages. I do know what are my needs.

But I also have stopped being hardware enthusiast. I have no idea of actual good brands, models and price range.

I’m not looking help to know what my needs are but to know what can fulfill them in a non money-throwing way.
