The breakers aren’t on the actual outlets. We just have everything on breakers in the power box. So I think the Australian system is good, but it’s not inherently because of the outlets. Other types have the same safety benefits.

Hmm, OK. Guess I’ll probably have to switch soon then
RiMusic is still working fine for me
I think the be careful what you do on Facebook is implied. He’s highlighting something that’s less expected, where you may need to be careful what you do on Windows systems.
I guess most methods of attack on a FOSS projects are independent of the country of origin. But, I could still see them being forced to do things they don’t want in the US, without being able to tell anyone. Hopefully if that ever happened it wouldn’t be too hard to detect, but you never know.
People gotta earn money to survive, I don’t blame the employees for this. And this is not just a case of Meta’s privacy being bad. This is close government involvement with potentially serious impacts and implications across all US based platforms.
It’s not “USA bad, so product bad”, it’s the concern that the US government can do a lot more to US based projects and you probably wont know untill it’s too late.
I don’t remember it like that at all. I saw lots of complaints about the privacy impacts and how ineffective it would be.
Why shouldn’t young children be able to use Discord? I have kids and want them to be able to use it to chat while they play games with friends and with me.
I’ll try to keep them to only chatting with people they know until I think they’re mature enough.
I think they’ve purposefully worded it in a way that’s less intuitive for more engagement. Obviously there would be many things that would adversely impact both semen quality and lifespan…
Discord is great (ignoring privacy concerns) for playing games and chatting with some friends. But, it’s crazy that so many people seem to think it’s good for more public information sharing and support.
Primitive is a relative term. As long as we continue to progress, we won’t be primitive for the current time. But, would be considered primitive in the future.
For anyone who wants to see it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HWc3WY3fuZU
Well now seems like a very good time to set a precedent
I could understand that. But, with a bit more context from the article (that I should have included), it’s talking about the criminals that are targeting specific individual children to assault them.
When a parent is anxious about the child enough to install a bloody tracking app. The parents is giving the data about the child to the criminals.
That sounds unlikely and more paranoid than the parents who would install those apps… How many criminals are going to data brokers to track their child targets?
But, you can also form good ethics easily, without using any religion. There’s plenty of good philosophy and general common sense without bring magical beings into it.
I mean, you’ll never really get the full story of anything if it requiers every adjacent detail, there’s just too much detail in any event to document it all. So, I think it’s more that being queer is an important part of this story because queer people have been marginalised. Which means it’s important that they have good representation and their achievements are celebrated.
