The last season of discovery is the only one I have left and I’m finishing it begrudgingly. I really don’t like that show. Huge fan of strange new worlds, but discovery felt like a cw version of a Disney star wars show.

Original star wars was filmed in London with Union extras and actors from the area. There weren’t many if any black actors in those unions back then. Lucas didn’t realize till later that there were no black people, and became so dismayed that he hired James Earl Jones. He even created a black character Lando to rectify the error.

Calling Lucas a racist is so silly. His only other directing credit post star wars, was a movie about black airmen. Btw, Lucas is also married to a black woman.

Agents are actually shit like this. Tons of actors don’t even get to hear about great roles they were offered cause their agents are nose in the air. I remember hearing about actors agreeing to do roles together, only for one to get stonewalled by the other’s agent who won’t even put the person through.

I want a star wars show in a time period where Sith and Jedi are an equal number and opposing religions. All see is the Sith as this hidden threat and there’s thousands of Jedi. I want a show where there are thousands of Jedi, thousands of Sith, and lines of good and bad are blurred

It’s weird, when the prequels came out, we all knew they were bad, with great bits, but we knew they’re bad movies. Then we started making jokes about how good those bad movies were, and somewhere along the years the joke was lost, and people now legit think the PT is good. It isn’t, it’s got great bones but it’s a badly executed trilogy

I constantly hear about homeless resources, we need more shelters etc. Nobody seems to mention that the homeless people walking about punching strangers aren’t the ones who seek help. My city is filled with the same violent, homeless people who threaten assault and terrorize commuters. To the point that threads about my city have nicknames for the different violent homeless guys that are well known, who face no consequences ever.

Until we admit that some mentally ill homeless are going to need forced help, things are never ever going to be fixed. Just wagging your finger at them and releasing them to assault others, is not really helping anyone
