No, I think he’s saying that it makes it more miserable and mysterious, but only for poor people, which he is not and therefore the status quo is good.

The delusions of grandeur required to think your glorified auto complete is going to turn into a robot god is unreal. Just wish they’d quit boiling the planet.
Maybe in addition to teaching Americans to respect and admire China and the Chinese people, this cultural exchange will also help to innoculate more liberal Chinese netizens against the late Soviet “communism in wonderland” style idea that you can trade in communism for capitalism and it’ll be all upside.
I’ve seen a lot of nostalgic pro-Soviet content, but in a thread on the app where someone asked how they felt about the Soviet Union, there was a lot of sentiment being expressed that indicated that they’re still pretty sore towards the Soviet Union about the Sino-Soviet split.
I even saw people suggesting that in its post-Stalin state it was better for the Soviet Union to fall.
If I’m being honest, I was pretty shocked, but I held my tongue because it doesn’t feel like it’s my place to criticize.
Edit: to be clear, my experience on the app has been overwhelmingly positive, and I love seeing the cultural exchange, because it has me very hopeful that one of the most important pieces of propaganda that the American ruling class has inculcated in its working class (China bad) will be broken.

Same, I don’t even see her on the count at all, just like, Trump, Harris, some libertarian dweeb, maybe Stein can’t remember
Kamala Harris is firmly committed to the extermination of the Palestinian people, she’s not Captain Janeway. This is asinine.
Fine I’ll vote
