It’s amazing how bad Linux and Windows are at sleeping on my laptops. My steam deck has a power drain issue too, even when fully powered off.
Plus, they occasionally release pretty decent music
Nobody wants to do that. North Korea is a shithole-class country that hates SK, is propped up by China, and to a lesser extent, Russia, who basically use them as slave labor and cannon fodder for their illegal war in Ukraine.
While NATO could easily steamroll NK, SK is right there and would get heavily damaged in a war. And then SK would probably have to take care of a ton of starving, brainwashed, uneducated people and a bombed flat country. Nobody wants to fix them, and superpowers like China are actively working against peaceful initiatives like reunification.
It’s an injustice for the world, but there’s much bigger fish to fry on the world stage right now. Existential, extinction-class threats like climate change and nuclear war. Democracies fighting tooth and nail against totalitarianism, like Ukraine. And western countries in various fights against the predictable but extremely annoying rise in fascism.
For LGBTQ rights? Definitely. For the climate? Way worse. Politically? Way worse. Economically… I’d way we are in a big bubble like the roaring 20s before the great depression. And when it pops, it’s gonna be bad, thanks to idiot voters and corrupt Republicans.
Government-wise…things are not looking good. It will take a very long time to rebuild.
Now…state-wise, I know my state is way better off than it was 30 years ago, but that doesn’t mean we aren’t about to get slammed by braindead antics of the federal government. But we have made a lot of infrastructure investments that are paying off locally. The future of America will be exclusively in states that put a premium on science and progress.
That’s the same thing that got us here in the US. You have to clamp down on that shit while you still can. The fucking Russian government is good at it.
That snowball guy finally died last year, thank God. Too bad it wasn’t from a flood or hurricane.
Nobody shot off fireworks here because of the grave situation in our country. Just an eerie hush over the city. We’ve lived here for 60 years and never seen anything like 2025.
One lady saw me locking my bike up with 12mm thick chain and expressed sadness that we have to go to such lengths as a society just to keep others from touching things that aren’t theirs. I sometimes think of her now when I’m locking up my bike.
Doubly sad too, since some people don’t have cars, and bikes are their primary means of transit.
If you have to hope, it probably doesn’t.
I miss the worm lights. My cousin had one, and even though I had the Advance SP, I thought the worm LED was super neat.
It’s interesting to see other people rock them with a slightly different look. Little bit wider in the chest and riding slightly higher on the hips.
(Btw, thank you for finding these!) <3
Oh yeah, I’ve bought non unisex clothing before and I’m used to the different cuts. That’s just the world we live in! Sometimes you get baggy spots where your hips are thinner, or narrower in the chest.
Oh yeah, no worries buying from the women’s section. They get all the fun clothes that guys can also look cute as hell in. One of my buddies got some shortalls from the women’s section and looks great.
Chubbies has some shorts that are currently out of stock, but come in many sizes and colors. https://www.chubbiesshorts.com/products/the-khakinators-2-originals?Size=L
I ended up going with some shorts from Huckleberry just to test the waters and have something immediately, I found 5" dark green chinos, not unlike the model above. Unfortunately no D-ring closure, but still close.

Thank you for the tips and terminology! I’ll keep up the hunt for good tops to pair with these shorts.
I ordered some 5" from https://huckberry.com/store/flint-and-tinder/category/p/84733-365-short-5
But I absolutely want to slut it up with some 2" or 3", which sounds like a lot of fun. :D
I think you might have hooked me up. I might need to wait on a restock, but the two inch inseam ones are awfully close to what I was looking for. The greens are a little longer, but not by much :)

I’ll look into that, thank you!
I met some nice people, but had better luck just meeting people naturally in my 20s. I think the reason why dating apps didn’t work is that it’s kinda like job apps online, where there’s just waves of people, and everyone is just kinda putting their resume on their profile. Hard to stand out and meet “real” people among bots/hidden likes/ app design/bad matches.
Usually these companies make money by having users churn through loads of bad matches and then continually pay for premium.
I’d recommend joining a club IRL or volunteering, it might be a more organic fit. Friends -> dating can come naturally out of that.
Dyson swarm, yes. Dyson sphere, not on our home system. The risks of blotting out your only livable planet’s biosphere is too great, not to mention stuff like the dark forest theory.
