Seriously though, why hasn’t nearsightedness been fixed by evolution yet. It seems like a simple thing to fix (just make the eyeball a bit shorter) and a huge evolutionary disadvantage if you can’t distinguish a gnu running away from a sabretooth running towards you.

🤣 But according to that documentary, nearsightedness should die out, because the people that sit in dark rooms and read books all night instead of fucking around don’t procreate. So we might become idiots, but at least idiots without glasses.
