These things take time to do properly and hold up in court and make them stick, it wasn’t from lack of desire.

I was a regular and flaired contributor to AskScience, but its super helpful to generate a response when there’s a good question. It would feel weird opining on a random science topic that I come up with. And I loved the well sourced AskHistorians posts. When I do see a c/AskHistorian post on Lemmy the responses are very low effort

Anybody who brings up spending that money on vegetables or basically anything other than corn gets silenced pretty quick

They kind of have their own breed going on on the island. We DNA tested him and he’s about 1/3 Chihuahua, 1/3 “super mut”, and then like small portions of a dozen other breeds. He loves laying outside all day on the hottest days of the year.

They have a strong track record of holding powerful companies accountable and achieving real world results/consequences. They often partner with local news organizations to help give them good content and there’s never a paywall either.

The lack of good CCS chargers has a draw back, but now it seems a simple adapter can enable supercharging with NACS

Republicans in Congress are planning to take “at least” $880 Billion over ten years out of Medicare and Medicaid to pay for extending tax cuts for the wealthy. There are also ads in the opposite direction raising alarm about this. They say they’ll make the cuts without reducing benefits, and by that they generally mean they’re going to pay doctors even less for caring for those patients.
The Coalition to Strengthen Healthcare has some resources to facilitate grass roots advocacy if you’re interested!
