I believe this would be illegal in Illinois, which regulates biometric data collection

It’s more expensive than you think, and it’ll probably be VoIP even if you get it from a “normal” phone company

If you’re in the US, you could point to the news. Even garden variety libs should be a little nervous about the increasing police state

Please don’t be silly. If you’re in the US, you should absolutely never be “interrogated” by police. Get a lawyer. Always. No matter how innocent and clever you are. You should be terrified of the police, not plagiarism machines.

Also unsurprising that the stochastic parrot simulation is fucking up its mission of being a propaganda machine

Your gonna install it, click settings, advanced, and look for “Network Interface.” There will be a drop down menu. Click it and select the mullvad option. Mine is “wg0-mullvad” then click apply.
This step is important. If you don’t do it, then qb will use any network interface. So as you’re running the VPN it’ll probably use that. But if the vpn drops, qb will look for the interface that does work, work and just use that. So you’ll still be able to torrent, even if the VPN is off. By selecting the mullvad (or whatevre your vpn is) option, you’re telling the app to only use that vpn, and not the normal connection.
Also, the search feature on qbittorrent is great. I can usually find what I’m looking for without ever opening a browser

Ah, cool. That sounds useful for like if you’re recording at a protest/action

Wow, too bad they didn’t at least open-source it. Take it off the app stores and disconnect the cloud service, but at least let others develop it
