I can’t teach you how to read honestly. You made some baseless claims without any evidence. I share a link that disproves your claims (btw I mentioned which in my previous comment). And your response is “nuh uh”.

Here a link: https://www.britannica.com/place/Palestine
which refutes your claims in the last sentences but surely why should we trust britannica over a zionism apologist who clearly is pandering to their political agenda.
Your whole point is “you don’t know” without actually providing anything. I may be wrong but at least im saying something. Please try and at least say something, otherwise what’s the point of your comment? Gain upvotes/give down votes on lemmy?
And at least for me, I actually live in EU and many of my friends have worked and many acquaintances are still working as servers so at least my opinion has some worth.
Where are you from btw?
Lol, what?
I am literally talking about how much suffering it would cause if we keep trying to “fix capitalism” with bandage after bandage and how each and everything would need fixing which will turn into something not capitalistic anyways.
I don’t want to be rude but people should have better reading comprehension and learn to read between the lines or just read i guess.
Sure tipping for things may not be applicable in eu. But here’s another example: imagine the first person who got a loan cuz they wanted to buy a house but didn’t have the money at the time.
The bank who lent the money did a nice thing. Other banks and people started doing the same. And because people had access to more money, the price of houses increased to match with it.
Despite the fact that those people don’t actually have that money and now it is a requirement. Nobody can afford to buy a house unless they go into debt. Again this is capitalism and the free market in action.
The reason tipping so “people can have livable wage” is not a thing in the EU is because the EU does have a livable minimum wage.
The concept of minimum wage is inherently anti-capitalistic. It is against the principles of free market.
The issue with tipping is an issue with capitalism.
It is capitalism that has ruined nice things. Imagine the first person who tipped someone because their service was good and it was a nice thing to do. Next other people started doing it as well, which makes the profession with tipping more favorable.
This leads to a higher supply of workers and lower demand and the market adjusts which means lower pay because “they will receive tips”.
Also it is easy to vilify the shop owners for doing something that the system encourages and even demands them. We don’t know how or in what ways the shop owners are suffering because of the system.
Also to acknowledge their suffering is not to say that their suffering is equal to the suffering of their workers but rather we need to identify that everybody suffers in capitalism (except the very rich/elites).
The way to fix this is to stop tipping altogether. This will hurt the workers for sure but their suffering is necessary in order for things to change, at least under the current system.
Or alternatively, we can try and abolish the system altogether.
I mean who doesn’t have a couple grands to donate? That’s like the chump change you get for groceries or smth
Guys listen up, every deepseek model comes with a dedicated chinese spy, who will log all your data and send it back to CCP who will use it to plot the destruction of the western civilization.
Instead we should use Freedom© models from OpenAI (side note if deepseek is so “open” how come they don’t have open in their name huh?) even if OpenAI don’t show their reasoning, they only do this cuz they want to protect us and they stand for our values.
They cost 100x more only because they are fighting for our Freedom and Freedom doesn’t come cheap, Freedom doesn’t have a price, Freedom requires our sacrifice.
OpenAI and the like aren’t going to get into trouble anytime soon. They already provide their latest tech to US gov and military. OpenAI is like a goose that laid a golden egg, they need to fuck up really really badly to face any consequences.
The US companies already scraped the data while they could. If anything, data scraping is far far more difficult now for everyone due to technical reasons.
Most of the new models are trained on synthetic data or higher quality of data or with RLHF. The reason deepseek is able to perform is likely because LLMs are very very new things, there are many low hanging fruits. Its no longer just about the data we already hit that limit for quite some time.
Lol fuckerberg, its too funny
(Sorry I don’t have anything to contribute to this discussion)
In a recent speech, Alice weidel idolized her grandfather’s generation. Her grandfather was a member of the Nazi party.
AfD goes to length to imply nazism but won’t outright say it.
There are groups that give access to pirated AI. When I was a student, i used them to make projects. As for how they get access to it? They usually jailbreak websites that provide free trials and automate the account creation process. The higher quality ones scam big companies for startup credits. Then there are also some leaked keys.
Anyways thats what i would call “pirated AI”. (Not the locally run AI)
Love the brainstorm energy and solution oriented mindset. Few suggestions:
Lets make the game mandatory and nonviolent, except the loser becomes the new kevin and the winner gets blown up with giant lasers.
The kevin system will push people not to be the last one and the laser will discourage people from being at the top.
It would create much more homogenous, and equal society with no class wars because everyone would want to be the part of the “middle class”
Replying to your post, if there were less workers there would be less consumers and then less consumers means less demand for workers.
This is gonna sound communisty but a better way to increase wages would be to avoid extraordinary wealth accumulation. There are finite resources, finite workers and thus finite surplus in this world, so if one person gets too much, that means the rest will have much less.
I remember reading a graph that showed, the number of young children in the world plateaued which means that the world population will also be plateaued in about 70-80 years.
Which actually fit the predictions that were made from simulations that world population will hit a max in around 2100
Wait you said you didn’t know better so let me try and explain the geopolitical importance of pakistan to USA.
Basically US has always had one country “pro-US” in that region because of china. India always had a very close connection with russia so US had a close connection with pakistan. Think back to how Pakistan helped train mujahideen in afghanistan?
Anyways then china rose to power and pakistan started siding with china so naturally US started siding with india.
Now the issue is US has already left afghanistan and russia has attacked ukraine. And india is much much closer to russia so now that leaves Pakistan.
Imran khan had to go away because he was pro-“independence from the west”.
If you look at Pakistan China relationship, you will see that chinese companies are pulling out their projects/workers from Pakistan. Pak-China relationship is probably at its lowest.
Meanwhile, pakistan usa relationship is getting stronger and stronger.
Look up cypher case, nobody blaming americans. It is the american government thats to blame
You don’t know what you are talking about. Members of parliament who didn’t vote for no-confidence had their private moments leaked. Which is considered a huge disrespect in pakistan. Others were offered money. So basically the whole carrot and a stick spiel.
Military had dirt on basically everyone.
Imagine if someone writes a malicious extension and now with this, they will also have access to entire chat history.
