Interesting study. Might need to start hitting the gym again then.

So, just science being science then? Disagreements have always been a part of science, and always will be. The only important factor is how they are handled. Think a study is flawed? Repeat it, and change the flaws to see if the results differ significantly. But openly discrediting any evidence (for or against a case) without testing is as unscientific as it gets. I believe the person at the end also has a point: yeah, we don’t know if microplastics are as bad as they say, but better safe than sorry.

Forced upgrades (or downgrades) really are the worst. Same for opt-out services instead of opt-in. Give choice back to the customer goddammit!

This guy clearly never visited Genghis Khan’s tomb.

I know OpenStreetMap exists as an alternative, but I don’t know if it has decent driving directions. You could check it out and see if it has what you want/need.

I’m no Scottish person, but as a person in this line of work (conservation), I think one of the most important factors for this to work is not only to ask the public how they feel about it, but also educate them on the why and the how. Why is it important to reintroduce this predator? I understand the ecological dynamics of predator and prey, and how a natural regulation of prey species can benefit the general population (ex. less crop damage due to wild boar), but many people do not. And how should/could farmers protect their livestock from them? Will there be subsidies for taking these measures, or will farmers have to pay it from their own pockets? These are some important questions to consider in my opinion.

Might seem dull some people, but I think you did a good job for the community.
Interact with them in person. Men and women write a lot of polarising shit online, but once you go outside it’s (usually) not that bad. Sure, there’s always some asshats here and there, but I feel like there’s also a lot more good people around than you realize.
