Also, most manufacturing, American or not, is already done in metric. It would be trivial for companies to swap units. There are many, many better ways to tariff American goods.
That’s their new font. This is the new logo:
(Yes it is almost exactly the same as the old one)

But Mr Dorsey is no longer part of the team behind it, having stepped down from the board in May 2024. He deleted his account altogether in September. It is now run and predominantly owned by chief executive Jay Graber as a US public benefit corporation.

Gptk can run games like cyberpunk at 60+ fps on more powerful Mac’s but Asahi currently can’t run AAA games at 60 fps. Also gptk has support for avx which Fex technically has but doesn’t work on m1 because the chip lacks SVE(2). However I imagine in the future asahi will almost definitely be better.

If you go to google password manager and click on the settings button in the top right there should be an option called Auto Sign-in you can disable.

It doesn’t do as well on factual knowledge about the world. It also doesn’t have the ability to browse the web or process files and images. Still, the company believes it represents a brand-new class of capabilities. It was named o1 to indicate “resetting the counter back to 1.”
I think it’s more of a proof of concept then a fully functioning model at this point.

nave@lemmy.cato Technology@lemmy.world•This is our best look yet at RCS working on an iPhoneEnglish152·1 year agoAnd why should apple (or anyone for that matter) be forced to use googles proprietary code for an “open standard”?
Also,
There is, naturally, a wrinkle here. The RCS standard still doesn’t support end-to-end encryption. Apple, which has offered encrypted messaging for over a decade, is kind of a stickler about security. Apple says it won’t be supporting any proprietary extensions that seek to add encryption on top of RCS and hopes, instead, to work with the GSM Association to add encryption to the standard.

As noted above, we call model providers on your behalf so your personal information (for example, IP address) is not exposed to them. In addition, we have agreements in place with all model providers that further limit how they can use data from these anonymous requests that includes not using Prompts and Outputs to develop or improve their models as well as deleting all information received once it is no longer necessary to provide Outputs (at most within 30 days with limited exceptions for safety and legal compliance).

nave@lemmy.cato Technology@lemmy.world•Apple seems to have persuaded OpenAI to work for exposureEnglish202·1 year agoApparently they won’t be collecting data.
Privacy protections are built in for users who access ChatGPT — their IP addresses are obscured, and OpenAI won’t store requests. ChatGPT’s data-use policies apply for users who choose to connect their account.
