I went all in so I wouldn’t change my mind but the first year I was pretty nuch entirely problem free. I have had issues since, however. But compared to the work I put in on Windows unfucking things I think its been trivial.

People whose lives revolve around fashion probably think you dress like shit.

People who love food probably think you eat like shit.

You probably love computers and care about privacy, and you are shitting on regular users(assumption, admittedly) for not being invested.

They had something that was working, you present noscript, thing no longer works. If you are not invested, how are you going to see the appeal of extra work?

It’s been really holding me back in learning coding. I felt pretty comfortable at first learning javascript, but as I got further the code was increasingly hard to look back to and understand, to the point I had to spend a lot of time understanding my own code.

Does it truely matter after the code has been compiled if it has more full words or not?

I don’t know what is considered a long trip for you but to me it’s 6 hours plus, which I deal with no problems. I just think it makes driving more boring when there’s less stuff to be in control of.

I live far away from my family and my wifes family so we drive a lot of 6-12 hour drives and I always drive the full stint. Doesn’t bother me but I am not everyone.

You do not need AC. We have two cars in the family and neither has AC.

The only features I really want is ABS, Bluetooth and a physical interface. Everything else I would rather not pay for.

I live in Sweden so it’s not like I need AC, I don’t use cruise etc. and most other modern features mainly serve to annoy me.

I am entirely the opposite. I think cruise just makes driving less engaging and more boring.

Ideally I want everything to be manual, I even control every individual wiper swipe a lot of times if I am just driving along on a highway. Less boring, more engaging. Means I am more attentative on the road.

I do however understand I am a minority.

Classic Microsoft move to implement something new, then not let go of the old thing and run them jankily side by side. Settings / Control panel is a prime example.

And at work its janky crossovers between Active Directory and Azure/Intune/Entra/other dumb names.

I put Pop_Os! on my mums MacBook and stopped having to do remote support almost entirely.

Being free always raises the question of what they are getting out of you using it. I wouldn’t be entirely comfortable using it.

I’ll pay for convenience or a good service. When the legal option is more work than piracy that’s a problem. The entertainment industry at this point is kind of infamous for how late they are to adapt to changes. It took ages to accept streaming as a viable option, but they finally accepted it and found a way to make it terrible, too.

It’s not convenient when I can’t find what I want to watch, it’s not convenient when the show I am watching is suddenly gone from the streaming library. It’s not convenient when only a sequel to a movie is available for viewing.

Steam is a great example of how to make a great service that is actually convenient.
