I thought it compiles to LLVM intermediate representation and then to the machine code of the requested platform arch. Am I missing something?

Unless you’re setting up your own stuff like Frigate already suggested here, I would suggest one without Internet connection but wireless video monitor. I used a eufy E110. Signal worked all over the house and picture is clear. I didn’t think any of the COTS solutions with an internet connection and app could be trusted TBH.
Yeah whatever brings positive nostalgia to people will be looked at fondly. I remember early internet fads and viral websites in a positive light that are just as dumb and transient as whatever viral content is being pushed out today. People view things in a different light and some kids in 15 years time will get nostalgic about Skibidi Toilet and talk about how “Dance Hype Craze” fell off after video 983.

ratel@mander.xyzto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Why do news articles and such call the governments of countries/groups of countries after the capital?8·4 months agoSouth Africa has three capitals but they have different roles: Pretoria is the executive/administrative capital, and this branch of the government is run by the head of state. The other roles are the legislative (Cape Town) and judicial (Bloemfontein) capitals. I would assume depending on which branch of the government is delivering news they would use the appropriate capital, but it’s most likely to be Pretoria.
Feel free to correct me I am not an expert or South African.

ratel@mander.xyzto Technology@lemmy.world•Apple CEO Tim Cook Donating $1 Million to Trump's Inaugural FundEnglish513·7 months agoIDK why people say they have better privacy: They just settled a lawsuit over evesdroping using Siri. I think they probably have less interest than Google in selling data for advertising, mostly likely using it internally for their ecosystem so they probably come across more privacy focused but I assume they snoop just as much as any other big tech company.
It’s a production company that has made movies you’ve probably watched or have definitely heard of (e.g. True Grit, newer Mission Impossible movies, Top Gun Maverick), but more importantly, it’s run by Larry Ellison’s son, David. As in Larry Ellison the billionaire who founded Oracle and is consistently somewhere in the top 5 richest people globally.
So the answer is having a stupid amount of money to throw about, as usual.
