Automotive trends. In the 80’s it was ash trays. We put them EVERYWHERE. The child seats came with ash trays.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•How much is your monthly average mobile/phone data usage?English
3·4 days agoI use very little, so I picked a plan with a pay-as-you-use data. It’s expensive for the amount you get ($10/Gb), but since I seldom use more than 1gb, it ends up cheaper overall.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Does asking yourself “Where would I have put that?” work for you?English
2·8 days agoIt’s all good, I’ve learned to work around it. The camera part wasn’t a joke; a couple motion tracking cameras in my work area saves me dozens of hours a year if not more.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Does asking yourself “Where would I have put that?” work for you?English
4·8 days agoNo, not at all. I only get upset because I’ve already asked myself many times to no avail, and the 28th time isn’t going to be the ticket.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Does asking yourself “Where would I have put that?” work for you?English
5·8 days agoNo, and I get irrationally angry when I’m looking for something and someone asks “Well, where would you have put it?”
“You better start calling 911 now!”The only thing that worked was putting up a bunch of cameras so I can go back and look to see where my brain thought was a good spot to sit something in the moment.

3·11 days agoDepends on the manufacturer. This is from the last factory repair manual I had opened. And it may be regional. I’m not in Canada but I mainly work on Canadian built equipment.

7·12 days agoI would still definitely double check it with a tape measure. Tires aren’t cheap and it can drive just fine until you see belts.
I mean, I eyeball align stuff all the time. But its off-road equipment.
Edit: I guess the CPS is still holding up well.

12·18 days agoAhh, the good old Jenny Crank diet.
I can replace insoles, I can mend the uppers, but once the soles start letting water in, then it’s time for retirement.
Guess that’s a skill I should learn.
