Has there been any progress on the actual map data? Last time I tried Organic Maps the places I wanted to go didn’t come up in search, and when I planned a road trip with it it planned the trip hours longer than Google maps.

That would only be if you use their cloudflare tunnel feature
Microsoft Rewards was worth it maybe 5 years ago now its not worth the hastle.
What I mean is relying on pixels in the first place. The only way their project was ever sustainslable long term was getting their own device, that has always been true. And even then, google might pull the rug on AOSP anyways.
That said, I’m using them and will continue to use them until the wheels fall off, its far and away the best mobile phone OS available at the moment and still recommend them.
Which I think has always been the case. Relying on Google for anything really is a fools errand.
The team has already stated existing pixels will remain supported. The Pixel 8 for example still has support until around 2030. Its still viable to recommend them.
Did they fix harwarde decoding on the Konstakang build? Last I tried 4k content was unplayable.
I stopped upgrading about 4 years ago. Kinda terrified to update at this point. Everything just works the way it is so I don’t dare touch it anymore.
You certain? You should have it. I have a very similar setup to you. Nvidia 3070, PopOs on a laptop with Gnome. Its kinda hidden in the app. There is an advanced button that hides the option.
The lesson I think is only buy devices with local apis and avoid google services entirely. I have tons of smart devices in my house now but I require local control and they all sit on an isolated VLAN with no internet. The nest is the last remaining device that I haven’t switched over yet. Its 8 years old, I didn’t think about any of those things 8 years ago. Live and learn I guess.
Nest was towards the bottom of my degoogle list. I guess they are doing it for me. We hardly used the app anyways. I’ll just disconnect it from the network.
Try opening the Nvidia control panel, turn off Force Composition Pipeline. I had this same issue.
Sure yes of course thats another way to do it. As always, if you do it yourself it will be cheaper.
Were they not invested in target retirement funds? If you do it right your portfolio shouldnt do that.
And that doesnt even factor in the fact that most made in America goods are made with materials imported from other countries. They are not going to eat that cost, they are going to pass it on to the next person until there is nobody left to pass it on to. The consumer.
I just wish the Dev would come up with a way to allow me to buy it without the play store.
Been browsing the conservative subreddit this morning just to see what they all are thinking. There is a surprising number of “This is a terrible idea” comments but its also funny seeing a whole bunch of republicans who now suddenly like higher taxes, inflation and stock crashes.
When you host your own Lemmy instance that means every server you federate with is going to copy its data including images to your server. That means that if you federate with someone who is poorly moderated, you can end up hosting CSAM yourself. You need to be prepared to deal with that problem.
He got promoted you dont lose your PTO when you get promoted.
