When I was a kid I remember copying entire games in BASIC printed in popular science magazines. They never worked because my dads computer had a slightly different BASIC dialect.
Good times.

Look at how shitty our implementation is. We need a full refactoring.
In my time we didn’t paste LLM-generated code we barely understand and hoped it compiled, let alone work. We pasted code from stack overflow we barely understood and hoped it compiled and let alone work, as god intended.

Unless you go once near a beach and a single grain of sand gets past the airtight bag the phone was in and the Totally-IP67-We-Swear phone chassis and is fucking destroys the screen from the inside, with a repair bill worthy of a new phone because “that kind of damage is not under warranty”.
Source : happened to one of my best friends. Fuck you with a folding dildo, Samsung.
That’s what I love about my ‘23 Yaris. The entertainment system is basically a radio and hybrid telemetry. Everything else is CarPlay/Android Auto. No shitty outdated maps, no 90’-style MP3 player…
gestures!
Still the reason that 20+ years later the second thing I install on any browser is a gestures extension (the first one is always uBlock Origin, obviously).
Seconded. I recently moved my gaming rig from Nobara to Bazzite because this machine is only occasionally booted, and I don’t want to spend the little time I have available for gaming doing maintenance instead. Except from a mounting error for my secondary drive that I made (bc after 20+ years on Linux I still can’t be arsed enough to learn how to fstab), I was in Cyberpunk 2077 in less than 5 minutes.

Pro tip: don’t keep your Steam games on a Windows partition. They won’t launch.
I replaced the idiotically loud motherboard fan with a 24V 40/10 Noctua. It needs slightly longer screws than the stock ones but otherwise it’s a drop in replacement. Noise levels are much more acceptable now.
It wouldn’t be insane, but it wouldn’t be advisable as a long term solution. USB-C charging ports invariably fail, mostly because of mechanical stresses. And when they do, it’s much more sensible to replace a 10€ expansion card than the entire mobo (or the entire laptop for the competitors).
Besides, you don’t buy a FWL if you’re strapped on cash. You buy it as a gamble on the future to reduce your e-waste while keeping relevant. Plus, there are smarter ways to reduce cost, like buying your ram and ssd elsewhere.
The issue was indeed from the fstab. But it was because exec was specified before users.
I had to swap the stock fan for a Noctua since it was unbearably loud, adjust the volumetric flow and spend some time adjusting the Z-offset. I should also tension the belts a bit but it looks super non-trivial.
The SV08 has been out since at least summer. I’ve had mine since September and I’m super satisfied with it. It is not a beginners machine however, there are a couple of mandatory tweaks and upgrades to make it usable. Nothing unsurmountable but having modded the shit out of my Ender 3 helped a lot.
Here is a comparison between an old benchy done with my Ender-3 and three with the SV-08
Thanks for the lead! That might be it, I saw a big blob of goop leaking from it the first time I heated it. I’ll rebuild the hotend when I have time. There an extra nozzle in the kit.
Edit:
Here is a comparison between an old benchy done with my Ender-3 and three with the SV-08. The surface finish with the Ender 3 is much more consistent and the PETG is a lot shinier. Maybe speed is a factor too. Shoud I try and slow the SV08 down a notch?
Nice cheat sheet!
Weirdly enough, I printed at 235 thinking the nozzle was too hot and it was worse. At 245 more issues seem to disappear except less than ideal overhangs.
Second for QMK. Flash any macro directly into the firmware, no proprietary software needed.
I’m not even sure the FW16 without dGPU can get over 65W. Worst case scenario, you’re still losing battery during very intensive work.
Hot sauce! Hot sauce on pizza! Hot sauce on pasta! Hot sauce on rice! Hot sauce on bread! Hot sauce in a spoon! Hot sauce on fruits! Hot sauce in a yoghurt because desserts are a social construct! Hot sauce on quiche!
