Ah, nice. Yeah, I just looked on Synaptic and there’s no package for i2p.

Ah, so for in-house networks to remain secure from others on their network?
Hey, it’s my house! How’d you get a picture of it?!
So, it sounds like you’d be better off just running Tor or a vpn unless you have a specific use-case for i2p. I looked briefly at the install instructions, but it seemed to be like it would be a hassle to initially setup on my linux build.
Ah, is it considered more secure, or is it just different?
It’s easy, just don’t have any friends or family! /sad panda
I myself use a password manager protected by a pin, and the password itself is ridiculously complex. Not everyone will do that, but that seems to be the best solution for using a password manager. Hell, even though it’s a complicated password I’ve ended up memorizing it (I don’t know if that’s a good thing or not lol).
The last level is living in a cabin in the woods and writing manifestos about industrial society and the ills of technology O_o
So what’s the deal with i2p? I heard it was a more secure alternative to vpns, I downloaded it but I haven’t been motivated to figure out how to set it up on Linux.
Do what? Remind me of the babe

The DC had already been discontinued at that point, the PS2 was about to launch or just did, and retailers were just offloading the Dreamcast merch. Shenmue was one of those games, and was the game I ended up spending the most time with. There really just wasn’t anything like it, it was this epic action story of loss and revenge with this sprawling open world with all kinds of sidequests, mini-games and interesting NPCs to explore. The most painful thing for me at the time was the damn cliffhanger at the end, and I never ended up getting a chance to play Shenmue 2 (I think it only made it’s way stateside on Xbox). It was definitely a memorable, once-in-a-lifetime experience. There were flaws, to be sure, but they were easily overlooked due to the expansive, ambitious nature of the game.

The better question is, if you do support lgbtq+ people, why the public freakout about mentioning a far reaching tech policy, by one of the biggest (if not THE biggest) tech company in the world, on a tech sub?

wolfinthewoods@lemmy.mlto Technology@lemmy.world•YouTube removes 'gender identity' from hate speech policyEnglish82·6 months agoSure, if your issue is that it’s okay for corporations to remove protections for hate speech towards marginalized groups, then yes, go get bent. This kind of false equivalence between normalizing hate and ostraciszing progressives for speaking out against oppression is EXACTLY what we’re fighting against. What in the hell is the ‘rhetoric’ do you disagree with? Having empathy for lgbtq+ people? Jesus. If so, this is definitely not the place for you.

No matter how blurry the first pics are, the thickness of Luigi’s brows would be noticeable. The person in that camera footage definitely doesn’t have thick eyebrows like Luigi :/

LETSSS GOOO!English105·6 months agoThere’s a difference between support and pointing out blatant US propaganda. Like I said above, many people across the fediverse don’t get the nuance of being critical of US narratives does not equal supporting the regimes that are on the recieving end of that propaganda. If you really spent any amount of time on .ml you’d see there is plenty of criticism of Russia/China, just not to the extent where everyone unquestioningly takes any criticism by US sources at face value.

Hmm, that make sense. I suppose due to the quality of the tv you’d get dimishing returns the higher the fidelity of the set. I honestly have only been slightly curious about RGB, but never enough to go for it. Somehow I always suspected that it wasn’t quite worth the effort.
Politics concerns everything, and everything under the sun has a political component. You can’t extract human relations from governance and political action.
One of many meanings, but the one most relevant to this post.
Also: Exhausted with the same damn argument of “Why does everything have to be political, there doesn’t need to be politics in x,y,z thing!” Jesus, the root of the word politics is the Greek word ‘polis’ which meant anything having to do with the citizens, the people, so yes, it’s all goddamn political.
