yucandu@lemmy.worldto You Should Know@lemmy.world•YSK that Gerrymandering allows politicians to determine election outcomes by changing electoral maps. In most western countries, it's illegal. Gerrymandering is common in the United States11·3 days agoOr even better, the position of president or prime minister should have little power.
That and because most countries have citizens smart enough to understand that a tariff is a tax and they don’t like their taxes being raised.
Why do people keep saying that out loud? It feels like all it’s doing is egging him on and challenging him to not chicken out. We WANT him to chicken out.

I’m thinking who the hell is even still talking about Biden, let alone in Australia?

I don’t know if I’d call it a scam so much as slavery.

No, an organization that advocates for North Korean human rights. That’s a pro-north korea org.
You gonna tell me that people who have a problem with Pol Pot are “Anti-Cambodian”, Mr “.ml”?
yucandu@lemmy.worldto Technology@lemmy.world•North Korea sent me abroad to be a secret IT worker. My wages funded the regimeEnglish145·6 days agoThe reason China spreads so much propaganda about North Korea actually being totally normal and everything bad you hear about it actually being CIA propaganda lies/because of western sanctions, is because they don’t want to admit any responsibility for being the largest trading partner to a despotic authoritarian regime.
That’s why you only see this kind of weird denialism around North Korea, and not the other places with shitty leaders and backwards authoritarian laws.
You are repeating Chinese propaganda. You need to understand North Korea isn’t socialist. China isn’t socialist. And just because America, a country that has done a lot of anti-socialist shitty things, says that North Korea is run by a despot, doesn’t mean they’re wrong. North Korea is run by a despot. Just because people have said things about North Korea that have been proven wrong, doesn’t mean everything ever said about North Korea is wrong.
yucandu@lemmy.worldto World News@lemmy.world•Trump orders nuclear submarines moved near Russia after 'provocative' commentsEnglish2·7 days agoShit maybe the CIA is slowly deprogramming him, who knows. He’s announced funding back to Ukraine, they’ve asked for the details. Again I’ll wait till I see concrete action.
yucandu@lemmy.worldto World News@lemmy.world•Trump orders nuclear submarines moved near Russia after 'provocative' commentsEnglish11·7 days agoTrump likes Putin because he showered him with praise and admiration for 20 years, not because of some threats of blackmail. He got invited to all the big parties in Moscow, but never got invited to any in Britain, or France, or Washington, hence why he hates them and loves Russia.
This? This is all theater for the part of the Republicans that still don’t like Putin. This isn’t real action.

This feels fake, though. Theater for the anti-Russian GOP.

Epic Pinball was another game that I recall was written in assembly. When your old 286 struggled to run games at a decent framerate, Epic Pinball would run in a smooth 75fps or whatever you set your CRT monitor to.
