Nationalism (and by extension patriotism) was an amazing tool to bring people together in a nation, when coming from a past of small kingdoms, city states and similar smaller communities.
Now it’s done it’s job and it’s time we get past that.
Most likely I’d be drinking some Talisker Port Ruighe whiskey while listening from The Division Bell by Pink Floyd
You can’t fry with any water-based liquid, as those can only heat to the boiling point of water, and once that’s gone they’ll burn
Yeah, the schpiel gets a bit repetitive after a while and you know the good guys will eventually win with some weird last minute twist, but for me the show is carried mostly by the characters and their chemistry. It’s the reason I rewatch a few episodes every now and then
Not exactly that, but Leverage gets close. Stealing back from rich people who stole first. Except the rich guy rarely ends up dead.
I must have been lucky because of the many weddings I’ve been to between family and friends, none stand out as obvious worse ones. Sure, some were not the most exciting affairs with a standard ceremony + meal + dancing formula, but they were by no means bad.
As for the best, it’s a tie between two, both friend’s weddings. What stood them apart is that after the usual ceremony the party was held outdoors with bands playing music live, with the focus not on fancy and expensive stuff, but on letting people have fun with the newlyweds.
I don’t expect it any time soon.
While public opinion seems slightly in favor it’s far from a done deal. Also I don’t think the EU would make the same concessions the UK enjoyed in the past, which would make negotiations longer and harder.
The game Generation Zero got it
OnePlus did something like this, can’t speak about the effectiveness though
Right now Meloni is suing Daniele Fabbri, a stand-up comedian, for a satirical video he published in 2021.
The comedian was commenting on some sexist insults the politician received, saying that it’s possible to criticise a public figure without being misoginistic. Being a comedian he did that by listing some overly childish insults along the lines of “stinky” and such.
It is very troubling when a prime minister aims to silence dissident voices exercising the protected right to satire, and I find it particularly egregious given said person was basically defending her as a woman even while criticising her as a politician and public figure.
I think I’m sitting on her fourth message already.
See you later, virgins
Seems like a bit of everything
Sorry, can’t do that under capitalism perpetual growth
Oh there’s plenty of porn in there. Not hard-core stuff, and done in a way to fool algorithmic detection, but it’s there
I can’t speak as an artist as I ain’t one, but as someone who loves listening and discovering new music, Jamendo is great. There are many artists I listen daily that I only know because of it.
That’s why I have at least 3 copies of my library at any time.
